Facilities

PLASMAMED LAB's research facilities are located in the brand new Barcelona East School of Engineering (EEBE), on the Diagonal-Besòs Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), with about 3,500 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree students and 400 professors and researchers.

You will find our Laboratories in Building I (Floors -1, 0, 1, 2 and 4) of the campus, with 8 stories and 13.202m2 dedicated to top research in the areas of Materials Science and Chemistry, that hosts 8 research groups. 

Our laboratories are equipped with state of the art equipment for plasmas treatments, as well as with several equipment for and physico-chemical characterization of materials and drug release and for cell culture assays and characterization. 

Dr. Cristina Canal acknowledges the funding received from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement n° 714793) for the acquisition of vital equipment for her laboratory.
