The Laboratory of Plasmas for BioMedical Applications (PLASMAMED), leaded by ERC awardee Dr. Cristina Canal, is part of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (CEM) of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). 

PLASMAMED's Lab main scientific goal is focused in the design of novel therapies for bone cancer by taking advantage of the active species generated by cold Plasmas, in combination with biomaterials to deliver the active species locally to the diseased site.
