A delegation from Uniwersytet Przyrodniczny w Lublinie visits the PlasmaMED lab for one week

Dr. Joanna Wessely-Szponder and PhD students Dominika Nguyen Ngok and Beata Drzewiecka from the University of Life Sciences of Lublin (Poland) have visited our lab in a very busy one-week research stay.
Dr. Joanna Wessely-Szponder and PhD students Dominika Nguyen Ngok and Beata Drzewiecka from the Department of Pahophysiology of the Uniwersytet Przyrodniczny w Lublinie (Poland) have visited us from June 17th to the 21st, 2024.
During their stay, and within the collaboration established in the PLasTHER COST Action, they have discussed lines of collaboration and initiated experiments related to the effects of plasma treated hydrogels on the immune system
Dr. Wessely-Szponder offered an invited talk to the 50 members of the Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Tissue Engineering Research Group (BBT) on Wednesday, June 19th. She explained her work on "Antimicrobial peptides, properties and potential applications in musculoskeletal disorders in human and veterinary medicine" and explored possible collaborations, beyond the one already stablished with our lab.
