The European Research Council has awarded Dr. Cristina Canal with a ‘Starting Grant’ to investigate a new therapy for bone cancer treatment

Cristina Canal, awarded a year ago with a Starting Grant of the European Research Council (ERC), main interviewee at Badalona Matí, the morning program at Ràdio Badalona.

Dr. Cristina Canal was one of the researchers invited to participate in the Round Table to publicize the work of the city's scientists and promote the scientific vocation among the youngest women, framed within the "Nenes, dones i ciència" seminar of Barcelona Activa.

Dr. Cristina Canal, Scientific Coordinator of APACHE ERC project, received the 2018 Early Career Award in Plasma Medicine during the 7th International Conference on Plasma Medicine (Philadelphia, USA).

Dr. Cristina Canal and PostDoctoral Fellow Dr. Cédric Labay gave two talks at the 7th International Conference on Plasma Medicine, held in Philadelphia (USA) from the 17th to the 22nd of June, 2018.

Dr. Cristina Canal was the invited speaker to an IBEC Seminar, with a talk on "Cold atmospheric plasma: a novel potential therapy for cancer treatment".

Dr. Cristina Canal and PhD student Inès Hamouda attended the 4th International Society for Biomedical Polymers and Polymeric Biomaterials (ISBPPB) conference and exposition in Krakow (Poland) as speakers, held on July 15-18, 2018.

Members of the PlasmaMed lab attended the 11th IBEC Annual Symposium on October, 2nd, presenting their latest research in biomaterials and bone cancer alternative treatments.
