Dr. Cristina Canal joined the celebration of the International Women's Day for Science, held on February 11th at the facilities of the Diagonal-Besòs Campus of the UPC.

Dr. Cristina Canal, Dr. Cédric Labay, Dr. Juan Tornin and PhD students Inès Hamouda and Miguel Mateu have attended the 6th International Workshop on Plasma for Cancer Treatment - IWPCT 2019 in Antwerp (Belgium), held on April 1-3rd, 2019.

Dr. Cristina Canal and and Dr. Cédric Labay, both members of PlasmaMed Lab, participated as Moderator and Relator at the Biomaterials & Plasmas session of the IRSJD Innovation Unconference organized by CREB-UPC.

Dr. František Krčma, from Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic), held a lecture on “Microwave sustained micro torch for bio applications”.

Dr. Cristina Canal gave an Invited Talk on the “Potential of hydrogels and liquids in plasma therapy of osteosarcoma" at ISPC24: 24th International Symposium on Plasma Chemistry, held in Naples (Italy) from June 9th to the 14th.

Dr. Cristina Canal offered an Invited Talk on “Cold atmospheric plasma: a novel promising therapy for osteosarcoma" at TERMIS-EU Workshop: 3D Bioprinting in Cancer Research, held in Nantes (France) on August 26th-27th, 2019.

Dr. Cristina Canal, Scientifc Coordinator of APACHE and leader of the PlasmaMed Lab, attended the PLATHINIUM (Plasma Thin film International Union Meeting) 2019 Conference in Antibes (France) as an Invited Speacher.
