Dr. Cristina Canal, Invited Speaker at PLATHINIUM (Plasma Thin film International Union Meeting) 2019 Conference
Sep 25, 2019
Dr. Cristina Canal, Scientifc Coordinator of APACHE and leader of the PlasmaMed Lab, attended the PLATHINIUM (Plasma Thin film International Union Meeting) 2019 Conference in Antibes (France) as an Invited Speacher.
Scientifc Coordinator of APACHE and Ramon y Cajal Fellow at BBT research group, Dr. Cristina Canal, was an Invited Speacher the PLATHINIUM (Plasma Thin film International Union Meeting) 2019 Conference, held in Antibes (France) from September 23rd to the 27th, 2019.
During her attendance to the conference, she gave an invited talk focused on the "Current approach to osteosarcoma therapy with cold plasmas and biomaterials", derived from the research carried on this project, funded by the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement n° 714793).
The PLATHINIUM (Plasma Thin film International Union Meeting) 2019 Conference is the result of merging of three international conferences, namely the Conferences on Plasmas (CIP), on Thin films (ITFPC), and on Magnetron, Ion processing & Arc technologies (MIATEC). PLATHINIUM aims to be an important biennial meeting covering low-temperature plasma physics, plasma processing and plasma applications. Plasmas from low to atmospheric pressure and plasmas in magnetic fields are included, covering traditional fields such as thin films and coatings in microelectronics, automotive, aeronautics industries, and emerging fields such as plasmas, thin films and nanostructures used in environmental, energy, biomedical and agricultural applications.
