PlasmaMED Lab highlights its Tech Transfer Innovation at SOMMa Connect event

During the SOMMa Connect 2026 event, held at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), the PlasmaMED Lab team had the opportunity to present their latest research in cancer therapy, targeting key industry stakeholders, investors, and research partners to accelerate the technology's path to market.

The PlasmaMED Lab team has recently presented its latest medical innovations at SOMMa Connect 2026, a leading research and innovation event co-organized by the SOMMa Alliance and the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB). PlasmaMED Lab represents the Center for Research in Multiscale Science and Engineering (CCEM), a recognized María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence.

During the two-day event, designed to bridge the gap between academia, industry, investors, and entrepreneurs, Tech Transfer Manager Adrià Barceló took the stage to pitch the group’s novel cancer treatment and outline its commercialization roadmap.

Alongside team Cristina Canal and Cédric Labay, Adrià engaged with prospective investors and industry partners to drive technology transfer while forging research collaborations to expand the potential of PlasmaMED Lab’s core therapeutic assets.
