PlasmaMed Lab, in collaboration with researchers of the Center for Oncological Research (CORE) of the University of Antwerpen (Belgium), has recently published the paper "Injectable Plasma-Treated Alginate Hydrogel for Oxidative Stress Delivery to Induce Immunogenic Cell Death in Osteosarcoma" on Advanced Functional Materials.
Adrià Barceló, part of the Proof of Concept ERC-funded project "TRANSFORMER: Transforming bone cancer therapy with composite biomaterials encapsulating plasma-generated RONS", has participated at the OpenMic Sensation! on stage of the 4YFN Barcelona (Spain) event.
Following the appearance of Pablo Motos, a popular Spanish TV host, in a video where Doctor Anna Baeza and himself claimed the existance of a “cell regeneration” machine that uses cold plasmas to give a "shot of energy" to the cells, Dr. Cristina Canal was consulted by various media about what cold plasma therapies are and their actual use in medicine.
The team of the PlasmaMED lab attended almost in full the 3rd Training School “Cold plasma and combined anticancer therapies” of the PlasTHER Cost Action, held in Orléans (France) from the 15th to the 18th of April, 2024.
