The researcher from the Drexel University College of Medicine (USA), and President of the International Society of Plasma Medicine, is collaborating with the PlasmaMED Lab on Immunology and Plasma Medicine areas, as part of the Visiting Professors program funded by the CCEM - María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence grant.
Matteo di Meo, with a background in materials science and engineering, has recently joined the PlasmaMED Lab as a PhD student at BBT.
Led by Prof. Cristina Canal and Dr. Francesco Tampieri, the PlasmaMED Lab recently welcomed international Erasmus Mundus students and professors to Barcelona for a high-impact Innovation Marathon & Partner Meeting. As part of the Erasmus+ IGNITE project, participants developed sustainable solutions in food, recycling, and materials, followed by a strategic meeting to advance the project’s translational goals.
Prof. Cristina Canal, Dr. Francesco Tampieri, Dr. Giulia Fornabaio, Dr. Milica Zivanic and PhD students Alfio Arcoria and Rachel LeBlanc have recently attended the 11th International Conference on Plasma Medicine (ICPM11) & 10th International Workshop on Plasmas for Cancer Treatment (IWPCT10), held from May 31st to June 5th in Gifu (Japan).
